Join us and Ritmos Climáticos for an intimate workshop designed to empower immigrant youth in climate advocacy through civic engagement, political role-play, and hands-on fermentation activities.
This kombucha workshop is led by Genuine Tea and seeks to create a space where people can explore their political agency while engaging in a symbolic and practical process of fermentation.
The workshop will include political role-playing scenarios to help participants navigate climate policy conversations. Through guided discussions, participants will reflect on topics such as the federal elections and the role of government in addressing the climate crisis. Participants will also begin fermentation projects (kombucha) to metaphorically represent slow, transformative change. Phrases from climate justice movements, translated into multiple languages, will be collectively developed as an art piece.
Due to the nature of the event, capacity is limited. Registration is requested for each attendee. Please click the RSVP button at the top of this page to sign up. Can't make it? Free your spot to someone else and cancel your RSVP by emailing us!
